GRAPEVINE

A “Celebration of Life” for local HEB KEYS High School Principal, Dr. June Jacoby (72) of Grapevine, TX will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Hurst, 1801 Norwood Drive, Hurst, TX 76054. Visitation will be Friday, March 18 (5pm-8pm) and Saturday, March 19 (9:30 am – Noon) at Memorial Park Funeral Services, 8525 Mid Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills 76182.

Dr. Jacoby passed away March 10, 2016 at her home in Grapevine after being diagnosed with gallbladder cancer on December 10th. She was born October 19, 1943 in Gulfport, MS and relocated to the DFW area in 1969 where she began her career in education as a teacher at LD Bell High School. Her 40+ year career at HEB ISD included teaching, counseling and principal assignments at LD Bell HS, Bedford JHS, Trinity HS, Central JHS and most recently KEYS HS which she helped establish in 1986.

Preceded in death by parents, Wilfred and Effie Fayard and middle brother Gary Fayard all from Gulfport, MS. Survivors include son, Barry Tisdale and wife Kathy from Grapevine, stepsons David Jacoby (Fort Worth) ad Scott Jacoby (McKinney), grandchildren Tyler and Abby Tisdale (Grapevine), youngest brother Russell Fayard and wife Marilyn (Gulfport, MS). Nieces and nephews: Farrah DeLano (Gulfport, MS), Patricia White (Statesville, NC), Brent Fayard (Gulfport, MS), Cheryl Baker (Copperas Cove, TX) and Susie Reid (Lexington, NC).
