Specimens are also available in rectangular, disc, and tubular shapes. Materials you

As shown in this table, PVC and carbon steel pipe plugs are available with TeflonŽ or
nylon stems. Three inch and six inch stems are commonly used. Other materials and sizes
can be made to your specifications.

any material you require and come equipped with TeflonŽ or nylon adapters for mounting
the coupons.

These systems allow you to insert and retrieve coupons under pressure conditions.
Installation through a full port valve and tee is required. Metal Samples engineering
department has ample experience in designing special systems to meet customer requirements
for pressure rating, size, and fabrication materials. See Coupon

Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR) probes are
commonly used in the water treatment. These probes require a conductive environment and
determine system corrosivity by measuring the flow of current between electrode terminals.
Two and three electrode probes are available for linear polarization measurements.

Bypass Piping Systems
Bypass systems are easily installed to your existing piping. Normally, all you need is
a 1" NPT male fitting to which the bypass is attached. Standard bypass systems come
equipped with 4 pipe plug assemblies, 4 pre-weighed mild steel coupons, and a 5-gpm flow
control valve. |

corrosive properties of potable or cooling water, these systems are available in PVC,
carbon and stainless steels, and other materials.
