Jimmy passed away on July 18, 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer.

James C. D’Angelo
August 1, 1943 to July 15, 2005

James C. D’Angelo, age 61 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Friday, July 15, 2005 in Gulfport.  Mr. D’Angelo served in the United States Marine Corp., was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the American Legion, Joe Graham Post #119, was a graduate of USM with a degree in Recreation and retired from the VA with 33 years of service, as a Recreation Therapist.

Mr. D’Angelo is preceded in death by his father, Charles John D’Angelo and his brother, Jerry D’Angelo.  He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Melissa D’Angelo; his mother, Christine C. D’Angelo, both of Gulfport; his sister, Shirley Schexnayder of Long Beach; his two nieces, Christi Spinks of Long Beach and Traci Long of Mobile, AL; his nephew, Charles D’Angelo of Denver, CO; his great-nephew, Andrew Daughdrill of Long Beach; his mother-in-law Helen Jones and her husband Spencer, of Diamondhead and his brother-in-law, Mike Stroud of Saucier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 12:45 p.m. where friends may visit beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.  The family requests that memorial contributions be made to MHG Hospice, P O Box 1810, Gulfport, MS 39502.  The 25th Avenue Chapel of Riemann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  An online guestbook may be viewed and signed via riemannfuneralhomes.com.
