Otis Wayne Freeman
November 20, 1942 – July 29, 2013

Blessed.  Otis Wayne was blessed.  As a man he stood firm in his beliefs.  Mature in his faith he was steadfast, not tossed or blown by the wind.  Honesty was on his lips; integrity filled his actions.  He was loyal to his God, family and friends.  God’s creation was treasured by Wayne from the bayou to the forest; the love and respect for nature ran deep.  The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and wildlife that roam our woods were created by his Lord and respected and appreciated by Wayne.  He spoke up when necessary; lived at peace whenever possible.  He was a servant, helping others in need.  This was evidenced by involvement with Feed My Sheep by providing food for those who are less fortunate.  Wayne was not a man of many words but his words were true and accompanied godly action.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Judy, of 34 years, his three children Christopher Freeman, Laura Perry (Heath), and Courtney Hatchett (Neal) and Ottie loved his 6 beautiful grandchildren Laurie, Slade, Anna Grace, Dean Caleb and Hudson.  We remain yet not without hope; he is alive in Christ.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Gulfport, 12190 Highway 605 in Gulfport.  The funeral service will be conducted in the church sanctuary at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow services at the church at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
