Jerry E. Peterman
May 31, 1943 to June 9, 2004

Jerry Earl Peterman, 61, of Pass Christian, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004 in Gulfport.  He was born May 31, 1943 in Gulfport.

Mr. Peterman previously served in the U. S. Navy from 7/24/62 to 8/23/66 as a Flight Deck Electrician, USS Yorktown and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Medal while aboard the aircraft carrier in South Asia Waters

He was a member of Local Union 903, IBEW since 1968.  In July of 1971, he received the Patterson Award at the Southern States Apprenticeship Conference for Outstanding Electrical Apprentice in Gulfport, MS.  He was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gulfport.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius E. Peterman.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Eason Peterman of Pass Christian; three sons and their wives: Douglas Earl and Pam of Hattiesburg; Mark Alan and Beth of Vancleave; and Kevin Walter and Wendy of Gulfport;  four grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Nikolas, and J. J.; his mother, Doris S. Peterman and sister, Jewel P. Lacy and husband, Bill, all of Gulfport.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 P.M. at the Downtown Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes in Gulfport.  A procession will leave the funeral home 12:45 P.M. Saturday going to St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gulfport for a service at 1:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
