Carolyn Eileen Sale Loper

August 31, 1943 – May 11, 2014


Clayton, Georgia


Carolyn Eileen Sale Loper, 70, of Clayton, Georgia went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 11, 2014.  Born August 31, 1943 in Gulfport, Mississippi, she was the only daughter of Harvey and Mallie Cook Sale.

She leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Bill Loper of Clayton; son, Samuel Pol and his wife Lisa of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Leslie Townsend of Defuniak Springs, FL; grandchildren, Carly Pol and Lucas Pol of Lawrenceville, GA, Madison Glover, Matthew Townsend and Emily Townsend, all of Defuniak Springs, FL, and Jonathan Townsend of Tallahassee, FL; and great-grandchildren, George, Louis, and Ariana Glover of Defuniak Springs, Fl.

Eileen was a graduate of Gulfport High School and Mississippi State University. She had been a resident Clayton for 5 years having spent the prior 26 years in Destin, FL where she was the owner of Natures Jewelry in Destin, FL. and Dreamsicle Gallery in Grayton Beach, FL. She loved her pursuit of art and being a business owner.

Eileen was a woman of great faith and belief in God. Her faith helped sustain her during her final days spent in her earthly home.
