John M. Webb
August 3, 1943 to January 10, 1997

John Michael Webb, 53, a resident of Gulfport died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, in Gulfport.

Mr. Webb, a native of Gulfport, attended Gulfport schools and also Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Ole Miss.  He retired from bell South Communications on April 27, 1996, after 33 years employment.  He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of American and Handsboro United Methodist Church.

Mr. Webb is preceded in death by his father, John William Webb; and his stepfather, James Lawson.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Snead Webb; his mother, Mildred E. Lawson; two daughters, Candy Wooten and Kelli Jenkins, all of Gulfport; two sisters, Mary Dee Brumbaugh of Gulfport and Janice Anne Herrington of Tulsa, Okla.; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Toni Snead of Gulfport; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Steve Fayard of Saucier; an aunt, Mary Alverson of Gulfport; and six grandchildren, Michael Wooten, Candace Wooten, Shea Jenkins, Dusty Jenkins, Michele Jenkins and Tyler Jenkins.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue, Gulfport.  A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, followed by burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
