Hello there Classmates!

After graduating from GHS, I went into the Navy for four years, serving on two different ships, an LST and a CLG, in the Pacific and on the west coast. My twin brother, Harvey, went into the Army for three years just before I joined the Navy. I guess I wanted to see some of the world and was fortunate to see most of the Pacific area courtesy of the Navy.

After an Honorable Discharge in 1965, I worked at several jobs including the CB Base, and started night school at Jeff Davis for one year. Boy, it was hard getting back into the school grind after being out so long! The next year I went full time at JD and then transferred to USM where I finished in 1970.

That year I married Marianne, whom I met at USM, and moved to Jackson. There I held a few jobs and started law school at the old Jackson School of Law, finishing in 1975. Soon after we moved back to Gulfport where I have been engaged in the solo practice of law ever since. My brother Harvey was a lot smarter---he worked for the Post Office for many years and retired a few months ago. (01/06) Us self-employed types can never retire, you know, and I still put in a 45 hour week but do limit my practice pretty much to the areas of social security disability, workers compensation and personal injury.

I feel fortunate to still have good health now. Maybe living a healthy lifestyle helps (i.e. no smoking nor drinking) with regular exercise. I have been a jogger for 25 years. I ran marathons until about 10 years ago, but now limit myself to about 10 miles a week with an occasional 5k or 10k. The jogging really helps when you have a teenage daughter to keep up with! My daughter graduated from Gulfport High School two years ago and is now a Junior at USM Gulf Coast, my alma mater---yea! Her goal, now anyway, is to be an attorney also.

I really enjoyed the Reunion activities. Thanks to those who organized it. There were several notable abscences, however, including my brother, whom I hope attend next time.
