Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties maybe assigned:

• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on machines and building systems.
• Inspects drives, motors and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters and performs other maintenance.
• Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools
• Assembles, installs and/or repairs pipe systems, plumbing.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
• Records maintenance and repair work performed.
• Performs other related, similar or logical duties as assigned or required.
• Operates routine vehicles and equipment required to complete task.
• Safely uses transporting equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Performs other related, similar or logical duties as assigned or required. 
• May work OT or on weekends, as determined by workload and machine downtimes.

• Knowledge of use and care of measuring instruments.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma (preferred) or GED.  Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
• Forklift experience, optional.

Language Skills:

• Organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and interpret commonly used service manuals, machine shop concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Mathematical Skills:

• Good math foundation.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several particular variables in standardized situations.

• Must be capable of climbing and working from ladders.
