Kitchen Cook/Assistant

Under direct supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor, prepares, cooks and dispenses food for the company workforce.  Prepares and serves varied and nutritious meals encompassing all forms and practices of cooking skills to provide for balanced, palatable and attractive meals.  Cleans equipment, dishes, pots and pans.  Maintains safe and sanitary standards for self and the work environment.

Job Summary for Production Assistant:

The primary goal of the Production Assistant (Shop Floor) is to work with the area supervisors to assist them in production activities and in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. Openings are available in Laser Cladding and Laser Welding/Marking departments. On the job training may be provided for qualified candidates.

Education/Experience of Production Assistant:

Job Summary for Laser Application Engineer

Metal manufacturing firm established over 40 years ago, and employing over 200 people is looking to recruit a Laser Application Engineer that uses the application of mechanical and laser optics engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to product and process development in the field of laser welding, laser cladding, laser marking and metal deposition. These can range from small component designs to extremely large plant machinery or vehicle projects, including oversight of design responsibilities. Develops tools, implements designs, or integrates machinery, or equipment, or computer-integrated technologies to ensure effective manufacturing processes. Is a member of the engineering team and supports the technical side of the marketing and communication processes. Education and/or Experience of the Laser Application Engineer:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Laser Application Engineer:

  • Monitors manufacturing processes to identify ways to improve efficiency and quality and to reduce losses, which may include analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Recommends corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability

Performs any combination of the following tasks to assemble and disassemble mechanical components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads blue prints, work orders, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, or receives verbal and/or written instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Dismantles products using appropriate hand tools. Various positions available in our Powder Coat Line and Paint department. These positions are responsible for properly finishing products that meet precise customer specifications, utilizing belt sanders and/or coating small to large parts of different metal substrates. Operators prep parts for paint, including media blasting and possible hand grinding; and handle, hang, and package parts on/off the line,
Job requires standing on your feet and lifting parts, some above your head.

Qualifications of Powder Coating Painter:

  • Experience with industrial painting and powder coating, preferred.

Job Summary for EDM Machinist:

Experienced EDM Technician produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) wire EDM machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Education and/or Experience of EDM Machinist:

  • The minimum requirements for this position are 2 years technical degree in the field of EDM/CNC operations and programming and/or 2 years of EDM experience. Seeking experienced 1st shift Manual or CNC Machinist who is a highly skilled worker, to make precision parts from blueprints. Machinist must have knowledge of working properties of metals, and experience with various machine tools; able to plan and conduct the operations needed to turn stock materials into intricate parts, which meet precise specifications.
CNC Machinist must be able to set up, program, edit, and operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines such as lathes and milling machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Machinist include the following:

  • Machinist works from blueprints, drawings and other specifications to calculate dimensions and tolerances for planning and laying out work, and to set appropriate feeds and sequences of operations.

Job Summary for Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager leads a team of purchasing agents involved in purchase of various materials for a high-tech manufacturing facility with 200+ employees. The responsibilities of the Purchasing team include sourcing and purchase of various metals, and some non-metals, in various forms like forged fittings, round bar, plate, and sheet material, and purchase of various hardware components like nuts, bolts, and other supplies for the machine shop and office.   • Plans and conducts new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Plans and conducts annual employee training and developmental training for managers and supervisors.

Job Summary for Press Brake Operator:

Sets up and operates CNC press brake machine to bend, form, notch, punch, arc or straighten metal or structural shapes as specified by job travelers, blueprints, drawings, templates, or layouts. Fabricates a wide variety of metal products to customer specifications

Education/Experience for Press Brake Operator:

  • High school diploma (preferred) or GED. Two years of technical school training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced level requires three or more years of experience. Previous experience as a press brake operator in precision sheet metal industry (desired).

  • Previous press brake experience – set up experience a plus
