Job Summary for Sales and Production Coordinator (for Medical Lab equipment)
Alabama Specialty Products manufactures, sells, and sets up a Tissue Slicer, which is lab equipment for research, that is used in medical labs and universities around the world.
We are now looking to hire a qualified person to:
- Generate new sales by contacting potential customers and attending trade shows, where the equipment is displayed and demonstrated
- Travel to various locations worldwide to set up the lab equipment, and train customers on operation and maintenance of the equipment.
- Coordinate with manufacturing department to assure production is timely and complete.
- Handle communication with current and prospective customers regarding products
- Investigate any customer concerns and handle any customer service issues
- Training will be provided regarding the products. We will train you on the design, functions, and mechanics of the Tissue Slicer to enable you to demonstrate, sell, and troubleshoot this product, and supply excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
- Relevant sales experience
- Ability to understand and read drawings/blueprints.
- Computer skills
- Detail oriented, with good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Solid math skills
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or two years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Duties
- Handles phone calls, emails, and faxes for accepting customer orders
- Recommends products to customers, based on customer’s specific needs
- Answers questions about prices, durability, and credit terms.
- Estimates delivery dates and arranges delivery schedules.
- Reviews and completes sales contracts or forms to record sales information.
- Estimates cost of parts that are quoted to customer.
- Sends credit information to potential customers.
- Enters sales orders into networked computer system.
- Maintains price list and instruction manual.
- Keeps customer informed on shipments.
- In house printing of instructional manuals & catalogues for ASPI products, including any necessary photography
- Support to Coupon Analysis, including any necessary photography.
- In house photography, as needed.
